Born in Cowes, I have been a sailor my entire life, competing at a high level both inshore and offshore. After graduating from a masters degree in physics, I joined the prestigious Operational Meteorologist training course at the UK Met Office.
Upon completion I worked for the UK Met Office as a meteorologist primarily in defence aviation, specialising in marine and coastal areas, before moving onto international forecasting. I spent over a year in the Falkland Islands forecasting for many areas around the South Atlantic and have developed a wealth of experience forecasting in other remote areas.
I have since moved into the world of Americas Cup working as a performance data analyst and meteorologist.
I am happy to produce forecasts tailored to whatever your requirements, but standard types of offering are described below.
For inshore racing I will provide a detailed forecast for the day each morning of the regatta and can include briefings and further updates during a regatta day if required.
